About Our Products

Produced with sustainable, natural, or organic ingredients.

Our Sustainable Mission
Suite Sleep is committed to being a leader in the natural bedding industry by providing the highest quality products with the best customer service using the most efficient distribution channels at an affordable price. Our commitment to the environment drives us to continually evaluate our product designs and processes to bring the best green products to market.

We have searched the globe to find the purest materials with which to manufacture our natural mattresses and bedding: organically grown cotton, woven expertly by US Mills; natural, untreated wool from the USA & Canada, shorn humanely from small flocks of naturally or organically raised sheep; natural latex rubber directly from the rubber tree plantations instead of middlemen.

Who We Are
Suite Sleep, Inc. is a manufacturing and distribution company designed to bring the world's finest green products together with distinguished retailers, designers, boutique hotels, and sleep centers nationwide. Our goal is to narrow the gap between manufacturers and customers through our extensive product knowledge and wide network base.

The Concept
Our staff is very aware that our customers must have choices. Growing sensitivities to the variety and abundance of chemicals used in the manufacture of everyday items prevent more and more people from functioning in the chemical soup that surrounds us daily. Conventionally grown cotton used in most bedding relies heavily upon chemicals that leave toxins in the soil, water, and air, as well as toxic residue on the cotton fibers.

In an effort to preserve our own health, the health of our families, and the environmental health of the planet, many people are choosing a simpler more natural way of life. The Collection is designed for those who wish to live in a cleaner, safer environment, while enjoying a top quality hand-made product. The materials we use are the finest nature can provide - certified organic hand-picked cotton, organic wool and natural rubber.

How We Work
Suite Sleep got its start in 2003 as an effort to grow the natural, organic bedding industry, and create new markets for natural bedding products. We have a warehouse with our most popular products to provide just in time delivery. Items not in stock usually ship within a week.

Suite Comfort Collection
Our line of all organic and and natural bedding starts with the finest raw materials the industry has to offer. The luxury mattresses we include in this collection spares no expense to quality, attention to detail, and purity of materials. Made by our manufacturer in the beautiful US of A, these products are produced by craftsmen who have been offering fine mattresses for generations. The Suite Comfort Collection includes 3 mattress options: 6" mattress, a layered 8" mattress, and a layered 10" 100% natural latex rubber mattress.

Why Organic

While cotton occupies only 3 percent of the world's farmland, it uses 25 percent of the world's chemical pesticides and fertilizers.

Conventional cotton textile manufacturing involves the use of detergents, bleaches, dyes, silicone spinning resins, fabric finishes including formaldehyde, crease resistant finishes that are bonded to fibers so as to make them unable to wash out.

As consumers, we can keep the organic fields growing and expanding by looking for, asking for, and purchasing products made from organic cotton.

How Our Products Are Made
We make all of our pillows and mattresses in beautiful Boulder, CO at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Most of our products are made from the finest 100% organic cotton, locally sourced American Dream Wool® fibers, natural latex rubber foam, and untreated woods like spruce or pine. Our mattresses are assembled using a quilted cover made with organic cotton and American Dream Wool®, and latex foam. All of our carded wool products (wool toppers and comforters) are made using locally sourced wool in one of the few small woolen mills in the Mid West. This mill is a woman-owned, 4th generation mill where a single carding machine built back in the 1930s. We hope you enjoy our fabulous hand-crafted products!

The Anatomy of a Bed

There are several components to a bed. Some terminology varies depending on your origin. The bed starts with a frame which can be made of wood or metal and is the support for the box spring or foundation. The Foundation can be a box with wood slats or a box with spring support. The mattress can goes either on a foundation or on a platform bed frame. The barrier cloth is a tightly woven cotton that zips around the whole mattress and protects against dust mites. The mattress pad is like a fitted sheet which is made with layers of cotton to protect the pad from spills and body oils. The linens are the sheets and blankets on the bed. A comforter can also be called a duvet can be filled with wool, polyester, or down. Pillows can be made with wool fill, cotton fill, down fill, or rubber fill.
